ONE WORKFLOW AND TRIALS

I've been using this workflow since Project 1B:

  1. Base mesh from Maya (Low Poly)
  2. Put in MudBox
  3. Put on details on Subdivided mesh (High Poly)
So it does need a lot of Modelling skill in Maya to get the base mesh first and then put on detail but try not to distort the shape of base mesh.
My Maya skill is not really good in modelling, but I got some trials

Comments:

  • Base mesh from Maya
  • The Fingers weren't good to sculpt (full of squares)
  • I got a short model
  • Lack of shapes and balances
  • The arm and hand didn't fit
  • Look like an alien-liked creature

Comments:

  • Learn some more tutorials from youtube on working on hardsurface and refinement ---(Details on arm  and chest)
  • This one used one of the default template from mudbox to build up.
  • The arm is good but the fingers are not.
  • This guy is too tall
  • I will keep it as a trial of studying
